MEET THE TEAM BEHIND HOUSE OF SALT

House of Salt is a women-owned and family run skin care brand based in Cairo, Egypt. The products are inspired by deeply rooted fascination and love for nature and salt. Egypt is the home to the famous Siwa Oasis, where we get our Siwa salt from. Siwa salt is known for its therapeutic capabilities, like treating sinus, skin and eye problems. Upon discovering the great and never ending benefits of natural salts, we made it our mission to utilise and maximise them for skin care. All our products are cruelty free, parabens free, detergent free and never tested on animals.

ALLAA ELMELIGY

Allaa is our bundle of joy that never runs out of motivation. The young perfectionist is tech-savvy and a Gen Z specialist. Allaa wants to empower women and she believes that is best achieved by providing their skin with the most naturally beneficial products. 

AFNAN ELMELIGY

Co-Founder

Afnan runs on copious amounts of coffee and close to no sleep. She is dedicated to coming up with new recipes and developing them to perfection. We believe she woke up one day, ate a bunch of chemistry books, disappeared for a few months and came back as an expert in skin care formulas.

HADEER ELMELIGY

Co-Founder

Hadeer is our artsy person and an absolute powerhouse at the gym. She is the only one capable of taking jumbled, seemingly impossible ideas and turning them into reality. Hadeer believes that elegance is best achieved with simplicity, and that includes our skin care products.
